Laguna Acoma Pueblo Hand Coiled Pottery Bowl

Pat Valencia, the youngest son of renowned potter Sue Tapia, is a Laguna Pueblo native. Born in October 1969, he is a descendant of a renowned family of potters: his father William Valencia was from San Felipe and Jemez, and his maternal grandmother Josephine Valencia was the sister of Juanita Fragua. Aside from pottery, Pat is also adept in jewelry making, painting, and Katsina carving, though mainly as hobbies. Natural materials are his preference for his craft, learning traditional pottery techniques from Sue. Signed P Valencia Laguna
