Mata Ortiz Hand Coiled and Painted Pottery

Memo and Aracely were finally honored with a first place ribbon at a recent Concurso de Ceramica. They've long been some of our favorite potters and painters, known for their bold colors and immensely intricate paint work. Their work is always of the highest caliber. This piece is hand coiled and painted with all natural mineral paints on a stone polished black background and features painted lizard designs. This piece is signed by the artists and includes a pottery ring stand.
