Vernida Toya is from the Jemez Pueblo. She is the daughter of famous potter Judy Toya
and the sister of potter Anite Toya. Vernida creates storytellers that are very unique to her own sense of style. In keeping with the traditions of those who first taught Vernida her skills, she uses all natural materials from her Pueblo when making her storytellers.
